School is in and that means we’re welcoming our newest team of nine students – five women and four men, to Terris’s experiential learning program.
It’s a win-win for everyone: the students get hands-on training and experience with us, and we benefit from their knowledge, skills, experience, and enthusiasm for the few months they are with us.
And what a body of experience they bring. Madumitha Venkatasubramanian, Yogender Singh Dudee, and Vishal Jain are Master of Computer Science interns from UNB’s Faculty of Computer Science in Fredericton. We’ve got five UNB MBA interns joining our team: Ronak S Ajimal and Shalini Rebeka Rowvey Simonraj are based in Fredericton and will be helping us with market research, Brahim Amine and Damilola Akano-Ayoola are experienced international finance specialists out of Saint John, and Shola Akhigbe is also in Saint John developing sales metrics. Finally, we’re welcoming our first Ontario-based student. Asmaa Mohamed S Hamed is a geomatics engineer coming to us via Algonquin College in Ottawa.
Along with their technical skills, each is bringing an international perspective from places as diverse as Egypt, India, Morocco and Nigeria.
With our previous student teams, we’ve learned so much from each other – not just technical and business, but culture, values, ambitions, and personal successes and stories. We’re excited to get rolling with our newest team to see what we can discover with each other because, at Terris, the experiential learning happens in both directions.
